| Baolun Sansheng Buddhist Shrine |
 |
Built in the 17th year of Jindading (1177 AD), Baolun Sansheng Buddhist
Shrine is 26.5 meters in height and 21.6 meters in girth with its
body being of parabolic cube type. Each of its stories has a round
arch gate. Inside the Buddhist Shrine are brick laid stairs up which
one can get to the top and look far into the distance to get a view
of the Yellow River. Echoes on its wall are like frog sounds, such
that the Buddhist Shrine is nicknamed "Frog Tower". It is
one of the four biggest ancient echo buildings now in existence in
China. |
