| Mt. Tianlong |

It is suited among the mountains, 36,000 meters away from the South-west
of Taiyuan and only 11,000 meters away from Jinci. It is a historical
and cultural mountain, which gathers forests, springs, holes and temples.
In is under the protection of the province and the nation.
Mt. Tianlong scenic area is made up by eastern peak, western peak,
south-ern peak and Liuzi channel and covered with tall trees and
green grasses. Various birds can be seen flying in the woods, and
creeks murmuring in its valleys. The fresh air and cool climate
make the mountain a perfect natural place for the tourists in summer.
The cultural sights of Mt. Tianlong were started to build in Northern
and Southern dynasties. There are 25 caverns and 500 stone figures
of Bud-dha with vivid expression and elegant posture are chiseled
on the cliffs of the Mt. Tianlong. The other major sights are Qianfo
Hole, Bailong Temple, Guandi Temple, Guanyin Pagoda, and Liuzi Channel,
with beautiful tales and legends handed down. |
